Sustained Through This

May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:23

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. God of peace Himself acts—personal sanctifying. Completely and whole spirit, soul, and body refuse partial religion. Kept blameless looks toward Christ's coming. Health prayers can hold this blessing: body included in holiness and keeping. This October, invite God to sanctify the whole person, not only church behavior. Peace and sanctification travel together. Plead for keeping when you cannot keep yourself. Spirit, soul, and body each matter to the God of peace. Receive this as a spoken blessing over your household. Completely is a large ask; God is a larger God. Long for the coming while being kept today.

PrayerGod of peace, sanctify me completely—keep my spirit, soul, and body blameless for the coming of Jesus. Amen.
