Answered prayers

I had failed the NCLEX once and was terrified to try again. I posted a prayer the week before. I walked in calm, and I passed. I'm now an RN on a pediatric floor.

I was having panic attacks every night after my miscarriage. I prayed for peace and so did this community. It didn't all disappear at once, but within a few weeks I was sleeping again, and I felt God's nearness in a way I never had before.

After my surgery the doctors were watching a spot on my lung. I asked for prayer and so many people answered. The follow-up scan in September was completely clear. My oncologist used the word remarkable.

Dad had a stroke and the doctors were not hopeful. Over two hundred people prayed for him here. He spent three weeks in rehab, and last Sunday he walked into church on his own and sang every hymn. We are so grateful.

We were sleeping in separate rooms and had talked to a lawyer. We each posted a prayer without telling the other. We found out later and that broke something open. With a lot of counseling and a lot of grace, we just celebrated twelve years.

My son and I hadn't spoken in almost two years after a terrible argument. I posted a prayer and checked every morning to see how many people had prayed. On my birthday my phone rang and it was him. We talked for an hour. We are rebuilding slowly and I thank God every day.

I was 38 and had mostly given up. A friend encouraged me to post a prayer here instead of just being sad about it. Four months later I met Andre at a volunteer day at our church food bank. We were married last spring, and we pray together every night.

Our car died and the quote was $2,800. We prayed and asked the wall to pray too. A man from my wife's Bible study said he rebuilds transmissions as a hobby and did it for the cost of parts, $310. We still can't believe it.

I was laid off in March and by June our savings were almost gone. People here prayed for me for weeks. The Friday our account hit $41, I got the call: a full-time position with better hours than my old job and health insurance for the kids. I start Monday.
