The Lord Is Enough
Jeremiah 17:7Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose confidence is in the Lord.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. Trust in and trust as—the Lord is both object and content of confidence. Blessed attaches to that posture. October markets and moods shift; blessing attaches to where you place trust. Whose trust is the Lord refuses mixed securities as ultimate. Make Him the confidence, not merely one advisor among many. Blessing may look like stability of soul before it looks like surplus. Trust with today's decisions: spending, speaking, waiting. Name false trusts—image, savings alone, someone else's approval—and demote them. The Lord as trust itself is restful. Plant your weight there. Blessed people are not always rich; they are held. Be that person by deliberate reliance this week.
PrayerLord, I want to trust in You until my trust is You—bless me with that confidence through October's swings. Amen.
