Healing Presence
2 Corinthians 12:9He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
But He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Sufficient grace meets unremoved thorns. Power perfected in weakness upends strength religion. Boast gladly of weaknesses—odd joy that makes room for Christ's power to rest. October limitations can be fought as enemies of usefulness; Paul treats them as stages for power. Cry out for sufficient grace more than for instant removal of every thorn. Gladness about weakness is learned, not instant. Rest of Christ's power is worth the humility. Name a weakness without self-contempt, then invite His power there. Sufficient is a full word. Believe it against the feeling of not enough.
PrayerLord, Your grace is sufficient—perfect Your power in my weakness, and let Christ's power rest on me. Amen.
