More Than Worry
Isaiah 55:1Hey! Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters! Come, he who has no money, buy, and eat! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Thirst, not wealth, is the ticket. No money still comes. Buy without money is gospel economics. Waters, wine, milk—abundance images for the empty-handed. October costs rise; this invitation still stands for the soul and for trust about provision. Come is repeated because we hesitate. Bring thirst to God's market. Without price undercuts pride and despair alike. You cannot afford what He freely gives, and you do not need to. Stop laboring only for what does not satisfy. Come to the waters first thing. Eat what grace serves. Tell a broke neighbor the same invitation without shame.
PrayerLord, I thirst and often feel empty-handed—I come to Your waters to buy without money and without price. Amen.
