Held While You Heal
Acts 9:34Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and make your bed!" Immediately he arose.
And Peter said to him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; rise and make your bed. And immediately he rose. Jesus Christ heals you—present announcement. Rise and make your bed—embody the healing with ordinary action. Immediately he rose—response. Beds made become quiet witnesses. Lift a prayer for healing in Jesus' name, then encourage the next obedient step a person can take. Making a bed after years of paralysis is both small and enormous. What bed can you make today as hope in motion—literal chores, resumed responsibility, orderly life after chaos? Christ heals. Rising people participate. Immediate rising is Luke's report; your rising may be gradual. Still, hear the command structure: healed, rise, act. Leave the mat's identity behind one chore at a time.
PrayerLord Jesus Christ, heal and help us rise—give strength to make beds and resume life as You restore. Amen.
