Restore What Strained
Mark 10:8And the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.
And the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh. No longer two is a mystery of unity without erasing persons. One flesh in Scripture grounds sexual ethics, mutual care, and shared life. Treat union as reality, not metaphor only—what hurts one wounds the other; what blesses one blesses the shared body. Pursue oneness in schedules, finances, prayer, and faithfulness. No longer two rebukes secret lives. August heat and hurry can split couples into parallel housemates; choose jointness on purpose. Talk, touch, plan, and repent together. God sees one flesh where He joined. Live like that is true this week. Guarding oneness is daily work worth more than private victories that leave the other behind.
PrayerLord, make our oneness real in practice—faithful, tender, and shared—since we are no longer two but one. Amen.
