Breath Prayer
Matthew 11:29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.
Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Yoke means shared work under His lead; learn means discipleship of pace and posture. Gentle and lowly in heart is Jesus' self-description—authority without cruelty. Rest for your souls is the promise attached to yoking and learning, not to escaping all responsibility. Exchange crushing yokes for His. Gentleness is not weakness; lowliness is not self-hate. Fit your shoulders to His teaching today: how He treats people, how He prays, how He obeys the Father. Soul-rest arrives in that school. If religion has been harsh, meet the real Jesus again. Take the yoke on purpose this morning, and notice where your soul unclenches under His gentleness.
PrayerLord Jesus, I take Your yoke and want to learn from You—gentle and lowly. Give rest to my soul as I walk with You. Amen.
