Hope With Open Eyes
2 Corinthians 9:11You being enriched in everything to all generosity, which produces through us thanksgiving to God.
You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. Enrichment's purpose clause is generosity; generosity's fruit is thanksgiving to God. Trace the arrow: gift received, gift shared, gratitude rising heavenward. July closes with that economy. Come asking to be enriched for others' good—skills, funds, encouragement, time. Measure enrichment by thanksgiving generated, not by feed aesthetics. Produce thanks as wealth's holy job. If God has enriched you this month in any way, convert it into someone's relief and God's praise. If you feel poor, remember enrichment in every way includes more than cash; give what you have. Thanksgiving is the intended harvest. Be a link in that chain before the month ends, and let God be the One applauded.
PrayerLord, enrich me in every way for generosity in every way, so that thanksgiving rises to You from many people. Amen.
