Matthew 4:23Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.
And He went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. Jesus' ministry braided word and healing—kingdom announcement with care for afflicted bodies. Every disease and affliction in view shows His authority and compassion in that mission. You are not promised a private repeat of Galilee's sweep, yet you meet the same Lord. Bring disease and affliction to Him in prayer. Hunt for teaching and gospel, not only relief, so suffering does not become your whole theology. Churches should still care for the sick as kingdom people. Set your heart on healing boldly, receive care wisely, and proclaim hope even while waiting. The kingdom's King has not grown indifferent to pain since Galilee.
PrayerLord Jesus, You taught, proclaimed, and healed. Meet affliction among us with compassion, and keep our hope fixed on Your kingdom. Amen.
