Goodness Follows

A faithful man is rich with blessings; but one who is eager to be rich will not go unpunished.

Proverbs 28:20

A faithful man will abound with blessings, but whoever hastens to be rich will not go unpunished. Faithfulness versus haste to be rich—two paths. Abounding blessings follow reliability: kept word, honest scales, steady work. Hastening to be rich courts punishment because it usually cuts ethical corners. Review your pace. Are you chasing a number fast enough to justify shady shortcuts, neglected people, or dishonest presentation? Faithfulness may look slower and still be the prosperous path under God. Blessings include more than cash—trust, community, sleep. Punishment may be legal, relational, or the hollow aftertaste of gains that cost your name. Choose faithfulness in one financial pressure point today. Let abundance be God's to add. Reject the sprint that tramples wisdom.

PrayerLord, make me faithful rather than hasty to be rich. Let blessings grow from integrity, and keep me from punishing shortcuts. Amen.
