Healing Word
Deuteronomy 7:15The Lord will take away from you all sickness; and he will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you know, on you, but will lay them on all those who hate you.
And the Lord will take away from you all sickness, and none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you knew, will He inflict on you, but He will lay them on all who hate you. Again Deuteronomy speaks covenant protection in Israel's story—language of corporate blessing and judgment, not a personal guarantee against every modern illness. Still, God is not indifferent to sickness. Pray boldly for health while refusing to weaponize this verse against sufferers. Hate and Egypt imagery remind us that God's care includes rescue from oppressive systems. Set your heart on healing, pursue justice, and keep faith when unexplained illness persists. The Lord who took sickness away in promise is the same Lord who walks with the afflicted in Christ. Hold promise and compassion together without cruelty.
PrayerLord, You care about sickness and oppression. Take away what You will, and hold me near when healing delays. Amen.
