The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it. Wisdom contrasts gains that arrive with grief attached—fraud, exploitation, anxious greed—with blessing that enriches without that bitter aftertaste. Rich here includes more than cash; it is flourishing under God. Sorrow-added wealth is common enough that the proverb needs saying. Check a pursuit that is fattening your accounts while starving your peace, marriage, or integrity. The Lord's blessing does not require you to crush people on the way up. Hunt for enrichment that can be received with clean hands and a quiet conscience. If sorrow already tags along with a gain, repent the method even if the money remains to be stewarded honestly. Blessing and richness without corrosive grief is worth more than a louder lifestyle.
