A Way Through

Honor the Lord with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase.

Proverbs 3:9

Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce. Honor is the verb—wealth becomes a means of reverence, not a private trophy. Firstfruits language means God is not tipped with leftovers after appetite finishes. June begins at the intersection of paycheck and worship. This is not a prosperity formula promising luxury if you give; it is discipleship of the wallet under a generous Lord. Look at this month's planned giving before discretionary spending claims the margin. Honor may look like a pledged gift kept, a debt payment made with integrity, or open-handed help to someone in need. Produce includes salary, side work, and unexpected increase. Bring the first portion into the light of devotion, then steward the rest without anxiety theater or pride.

PrayerLord, I honor You with my wealth and firstfruits. Teach me generous reverence without treating giving like a deal. Amen.
