Comfort Near
Psalm 118:17I will not die, but live, and declare the Lord's works.
I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord. Near-death or near-despair experiences can become declaration rather than silence. Living is unto recounting—your continued breath is meant to tell what God has done. Health restored, or hope restored while illness remains, both can fuel testimony without pretending every prayer ended in the same outcome. Say no to the grave's premature claim on your voice. Live today on purpose: gratitude spoken, deeds of the Lord named at the table, encouragement sent to someone still in the valley. Recounting keeps memory honest and praise public. If you are still in danger or exhaustion, pray this as defiance under God's care, and let others recount with you until strength returns.
PrayerLord, I want to live and recount Your deeds. Spare me from despair's silence, and put testimony on my lips. Amen.
