The Thread of Love
Psalm 40:3He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God. Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord. Personal rescue becomes public invitation. The new song is not performance for applause; it is praise that others can overhear. Love of neighbor includes letting gratitude be visible enough that trust becomes thinkable for someone watching. Fear here is reverent awe, not terror theater. If God has given you a new song—after reconciliation, after provision, after returned hope—sing it without false modesty and without self-exaltation. Many see before they trust. Your praise might be the first crack in someone else's cynicism. Share the song at dinner, in a message, in church, wherever honesty fits.
PrayerLord, put Your praise on my lips so others may see and learn to trust You. Keep my new song humble and true. Amen.
