Healing Love
Psalm 40:1I waited patiently for the Lord. He turned to me, and heard my cry.
I waited patiently for the Lord; He inclined to me and heard my cry. The psalmist reports experience after delay: waiting, then a turning, then being heard. Health prayers often live in that gap—cry sent, answer not yet obvious. Inclined is bodily language for God's attentiveness; He bends toward the sufferer. Patient waiting is not silence pretending to be holy; it includes crying out. Keep praying while you pursue wise care. When delay tempts you to conclude God has looked away, let this verse argue back. He has turned before; He hears. Tell Him the cry again today without polishing it first. Waiting with a heard cry differs from waiting abandoned. Hold that difference when the calendar feels cruel. A heard cry can coexist with unfinished healing; keep both truths in one honest prayer.
PrayerLord who turns and hears, I wait patiently. Bend toward my cry as You have before, and steady me in the gap. Amen.
