Trust the Path
Psalm 1:3He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.
A tree by water channels, fruiting in season, leaf unwithing, prospering in what it does—that is the psalm's picture of the Word-delighting life. Season means you may not see fruit on demand. Unwithered leaf means resilience when weather turns. Prosperity here is rooted vitality, not a luxury catalog. Stay near the stream: Scripture, prayer, gathered worship. Uprooted busyness produces brittle faith. Examine what season you are in and what fruit fits it—perhaps patience rather than platform. Water access is maintained by habits. Look hard at your roots this week. Turn down the shortcut that would make this truth cheaper than it is. Name one fear beside this promise before the afternoon hardens your posture. Give thanks for any clarity already granted, then act on the inch you see. Trade a rehearsed complaint for a petition that tells the truth upward.
PrayerPlanter God, root me by Your streams. Make fruit timely and leaves unwithered as I stay near Your water. Amen.
