Hold Fast to Love
Psalm 16:8I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Setting the Lord always before you is an attention choice; because He is at your right hand, you are not toppled. Love relationships stabilize when God is the foreground, not the afterthought. Always is aspirational practice—reset whenever you notice you have stared at threats instead. Right-hand presence is near help. Unmoved does not mean unfeeling; it means not displaced from trust. Place a visual cue where your eyes land in the morning. Speak His nearness before a hard talk. Foreground God, and secondary things find their size. Keep the phone down long enough for this sentence to finish its work in you. Choose the harder kindness when an easy slight would feel more natural. Invite one trusted person to ask how this verse changed your week. Set a quiet timer and sit with the hard clause until resentment loosens.
PrayerLord at my right hand, I set You before me. Keep me unmoved when pressure shoves. Amen.
