Gentle and Strong
1 John 1:9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Confession meets faithfulness and justice—God keeps His word and deals with sin truly through Christ. Forgiveness and cleansing are both promised: status cleared and stain addressed. Health of soul often waits on honesty you have postponed. Name sins specifically—not only vague regret. Trust the character of the One who forgives. Then walk cleansed: refuse to keep wearing guilt Jesus already bore, and refuse to return casually to what you just named. Faithful justice is good news for people who are tired of hiding. Come into the light and breathe again. Cleansed people learn to tell the truth faster next time.
PrayerFaithful and just God, I confess my sins. Forgive and cleanse me as You promised, and help me walk in the light. Amen.
