The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. Delay is often mercy. Love waits for repentance—yours and others'. What you call slowness may be room for a hard heart to soften. Patience like God's will change how you treat a difficult person: less ultimatum theater, more truthful waiting that still sets wise boundaries. It will also humble you about your own unfinished turning. Do not confuse God's patience with indifference; He desires repentance. Align your heart with that desire today—pray for someone's turning, and practice your own without delay. Mercy never requires pretending harm is fine while you wait.
PrayerPatient Lord, You are not slow as we count slowness. Shape my heart to Your patience and to Your desire for repentance. Amen.
