Carry This Lightly
1 John 5:14This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.
This is the confidence we have toward Him: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. Hearing is promised inside will-alignment. Prayer school includes learning His will through Scripture so requests mature. Confidence is not volume or technique; it is children asking a Father who listens. Bring provision needs—work, daily bread, wisdom for money—inside that frame. Ask boldly for what accords with His revealed desire: faithfulness, justice, care for others, daily dependence. Then rest in being heard even when the form of the answer is still unfolding. Will-shaped prayer frees you from treating God like a vending machine and from despairing that He ignores the quiet ask. Being heard steadies you before the envelope arrives.
PrayerFather, give me confidence to ask according to Your will. I trust that You hear, and I want my requests shaped by Your Word. Amen.
