Friendship Strengthened
1 Peter 1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Mercy causes new birth; resurrection powers living hope. Hope that lives can walk into a hard relationship with something stronger than optimism. You are not stuck recycling old death-patterns as destiny. Bless God aloud for mercy that remade you. Then let living hope change your tone at home: less fatalism, more patience, more courage to reconcile. New birth is not a metaphor for self-help; it is God's act. Live today as someone whose future is tied to a risen Lord and whose love can risk again.
PrayerFather of mercies, thank You for new birth into living hope through Jesus' resurrection. Make that hope alive in how I love people today. Amen.
