Settle Your Heart
Hebrews 11:1Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.
Faith is assurance of things hoped for, a conviction about things not seen. After Easter, that definition leaves the theory shelf. You trust a risen Christ you do not presently see with your eyes, and a future renewal that is promised but not finished. Assurance is not fake certainty you perform; it is confidence resting on God's character and act. When unseen realities feel thinner than bills, headlines, or a mirror, return to the empty tomb and the spoken word. Let faith become how you interpret the week: not naïve, but anchored. Try one unseen-trust act today—prayer for someone far away, generosity that trusts God's care, patience that believes God is at work in secret. Faith grows by use in ordinary light.
PrayerLord, grow in me assurance of what I hope for and conviction about what I cannot yet see. Make faith sturdy and honest. Amen.
