A Word for Your Day

If we are faithless, he remains faithful. For he can't deny himself.

2 Timothy 2:13

Some days faith feels thin—prayers short, resolve shaky, old doubts louder than usual. Paul does not flatter that condition, but he anchors it: if we are faithless, He remains faithful, because He cannot deny Himself. God's faithfulness is not a mood matching yours; it is who He is. That truth does not excuse drifting; it keeps despair from writing the final chapter. Holy Week shows faithfulness in blood and promise kept. When your grip loosens, His character does not. Name the place you have been unreliable without theatrical shame, then lean on the One who cannot stop being true. Let His consistency become the floor under your next small act of trust. Return to the cross where faithfulness has a body and a name.

PrayerFaithful God, when my trust flickers, hold me by Your character. Keep me near the cross where Your faithfulness became visible. Amen.
