God Finishes Well
2 Corinthians 5:17Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
In Christ—the location again—a person becomes new creation. Old things pass; new things arrive. This is identity before it is self-help. Lent repentance participates in what God has already declared: you are not chained forever to the former self. Passing away can be gradual in experience and decisive in status. Practice living from newness: refuse a familiar sin's script, speak a true identity when shame narrates otherwise. Behold is an attention word—look at what God has done. Surround yourself with people who remind you of new creation rather than who only remember your old reputation. Creation language means God is the maker of what you cannot self-fabricate. New creation identity must be worn into rooms where people expect the old you. Surprise them with consistency in grace.
PrayerChrist, make newness more than a slogan in me. Let old patterns pass in real time as I abide in You. Amen.
