Height, depth, and every created thing fail as scissors against God's love in Christ. Separation anxiety—spiritual, relational, existential—meets a hard limit. Nothing created can undo what the Creator has established in Jesus. That includes your worst day, a hostile power, and the fear that you have wandered too far. Lent confession deals with sin seriously while this promise deals with belonging more seriously still. Love in Christ Jesus our Lord is located, not vague. Stay in that location by faith: Word, prayer, fellowship, communion. When a created thing—illness, job loss, accusation—claims it has cut you off from God, answer with Paul's nor. Created threats are loud; they are not sovereign. Let unseparable love quiet the part of you that packs bags for abandonment.
PrayerChrist Jesus our Lord, keep me inside the love no created thing can cut. When separation fears shout, answer them with Your cross-shaped nearness. Amen.
