Strength for Today
Psalm 107:20He sends his word, and heals them, and delivers them from their graves.
God sends His word and heals; He delivers from destruction. Word-centered healing matters: Scripture, gospel promise, and sometimes a timely message that restores hope. Graves imagery shows how far deliverance reaches—God snatches people from deadly brink. If you pray for healing, include the Word: read promises aloud, ask others to speak truth over despair. Medical help remains wise; this verse adds that God's speech is an agent of life. Has a word already been sent that you have not yet gathered? Return to a passage that once held you. In prayer, ask God to send healing speech into a body and a mind that feel near the edge. Healing words may arrive through Scripture read aloud at a bedside. Do not underestimate speech God sends.
PrayerLord, send Your word to heal. Deliver those near the brink whom I name, and let Your living speech restore what despair has drained. Amen.
