Love Never Quits

Therefore accept one another, even as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God.

Romans 15:7

Valentine's Day sells chemistry; Romans offers something sturdier. Accept one another the way Christ accepted you—into fellowship, toward God's glory, not because the other person finished becoming easy. Christ's welcome included you while you still had rough edges, unfinished repentance, and opinions that needed sanctifying. That pattern frees you from making agreement the price of belonging. You can tell the truth and still leave a chair pulled out. Around a table tonight, notice who you usually overlook or correct too quickly. Practice a welcome that costs a little pride: listen longer, assume good faith first, and refuse the quiet scorekeeping that turns love into leverage. Glory is the aim—people seeing God's kindness through how His people make room for one another without erasing honesty.

PrayerLord Jesus, You welcomed me at cost. Help me welcome others with honesty and patience that point to Your glory, not my preference. Amen.
