Healing Mercy
Psalm 91:1He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
Dwelling in the secret place of the Most High yields rest in the Almighty's shadow. Dwelling is residential language—not a visit when panic hits, but a practiced nearness. Shadow means covering close enough to change the temperature of fear. Health of mind and body often suffers when we live exposed to every alarm. Make a secret place practical: a chair, a verse, a few unhurried minutes before the phone wins. Rest is not laziness; it is locating your life under God's covering. February illnesses and winter blues make this invitation urgent. Come back to the shadow throughout the day with a breath prayer. The Most High is not far; the question is whether you will dwell. Secret-place habits look ordinary from the outside and life-saving from the inside. Return there before fear writes your schedule.
PrayerMost High, I want to dwell with You, not merely drop by. Cover me in Your shadow and teach my body what rest under You feels like. Amen.
