Rooted When Money Shakes
Psalm 104:27These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season.
Creation waits on God for food in due season—the same cadence as earlier psalms, now including "these all," the wide community of living things. February can feel like a thin month: shorter light, longer bills after January spending, soil still cold in many places. Waiting for due season resists both despair and demand. You are invited into creaturely dependence without losing dignity. Request today's food and tomorrow's wisdom while you work. Notice how ecosystems already practice trust you struggle to learn. When envy of someone else's "season" rises, return to your own due portion. God has not misplaced your name in the waiting line of needs. Look up with the rest of creation and keep honesty in your prayers about what is lacking.
PrayerGiver of due season, I wait with all creation. Feed what You have made—including my household—and teach me patience without passivity. Amen.
