Protect What Matters
John 13:35By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
Love for one another is the public badge of discipleship. Everyone will know—visibility again, this time relational. Arguments about doctrine matter, yet Jesus puts mutual love on the signboard. Check the signal your church, family, or friend group sends. Sharp correctness with thin affection confuses watchers. Love that forgives, shares, and stays becomes apologetics with a pulse. You cannot control an entire community overnight, but you can refuse to be the cold link in the chain. Offer honor in a conversation that usually turns competitive. Defend an absent person. Discipleship becomes recognizable when love is hard to miss. Watchers learn the gospel as much from our apologies as from our statements. Make love obvious enough that explanations become almost unnecessary.
PrayerLord, make love among us unmistakable. Start with my tone and choices, so others can recognize Your discipleship in how we treat each other. Amen.
