Fear Loses Its Voice
Psalm 145:16You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
God opens His hand and satisfies living desire. The image is generous and bodily—an open hand, not a clenched fist. Satisfaction is His gift across creation's hunger. For your finances and longings, open-hand theology cuts two ways: God gives, and you learn to receive without frantic clutching. It also challenges you to mirror open hands toward others. Satisfaction does not mean every appetite is wise; it means God knows how to fill what He made. Bring hunger—literal or figurative—to Him. Thank Him for previous openings you forgot. Request today's portion with humility. Then notice whether your own hand has been shut against someone else's need. Closed fists cannot receive well or give well; ask for help unclenching.
PrayerOpen-handed God, satisfy what You know I truly need. Make me content in Your care and generous with what You place in my hands. Amen.
