Courage for Treatment
Psalm 6:2Have mercy on me, the Lord, for I am faint. The Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled.
Faintness and troubled bones push the psalmist to plead for mercy and healing. Body and spirit speak together here; weakness is not hidden behind stiff upper lips. If winter illness, chronic pain, or exhaustion has you fragile, this prayer is yours to borrow. Mercy is the ground of the request—God's character, not your record. Healing for troubled bones may come through rest, treatment, and supernatural help braided together. Ask plainly. Refuse the shame that says strong believers never admit frailty. God invites faint people to speak. Let mercy be the first word over your body today, and follow it with wise care that matches the plea. Frailty spoken to God is safer than toughness performed for people. Invite help from people skilled to care as you pray.
PrayerHave mercy on me, Lord—I am faint. Heal my troubled body and frayed strength, and meet me with compassion in this weakness. Amen.
