Deep Roots

You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.

John 8:32

Truth known becomes freedom lived. Jesus ties liberation to knowing truth—ultimately Himself—rather than to collecting slogans. Freedom here is release from slavery to sin and deception, not permission for self-rule without wisdom. January is full of half-truths about what will finally make you happy. Bring claims under Christ's truth: Scripture read carefully, conscience cleaned, community that will not flatter you. Knowing takes time; freedom often arrives as a progressive unhooking from lies you believed about God, yourself, or others. Ask where you still feel chained—people-pleasing, hidden habits, cynical unbelief. Seek the truth that addresses that chain. Liberty grows where light is welcomed and secrets lose their lease. Freedom worth having will always cost the comfort of familiar untruths.

PrayerLord Jesus, let me know Your truth deeply enough to walk free. Break the lies that bind me, and make liberty a practiced path this year. Amen.
