Peace Be Still
John 14:1Don't let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
Troubled hearts receive a direct command: believe in God; believe also in Me. Jesus speaks to disciples facing His departure and their own fear. Belief is the antidote He names—not denial of trouble, but trust directed at the right Persons. Your January may already hold diagnoses, deadlines, or family strain. Trouble is acknowledged; panic is not crowned. Believing God and Jesus means rehearsing their character when your pulse spikes. Write two truths you know about them and keep the note where anxiety usually wins. Faith does not erase hard news; it refuses to let hard news become atheism of the heart. Let belief steady your chest before you solve what can be solved. Let trust interrupt the spiral before your body pays the full stress bill.
PrayerLord Jesus, my heart is tempted to trouble. I believe in God; I believe also in You. Anchor me when fear tries to run the day. Amen.
