Look to Jesus
Luke 18:1He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up.
Jesus tells a parable so that people would always pray and not give up. Persistence again—this time against the temptation to quit when answers delay. Year-end reflection can discourage you if prayers from January still hang open. This verse forbids despair's conclusion. Always pray is a lifestyle, not a mood. Not giving up means returning tomorrow with the same honest request. Pair persistence with surrender: you keep praying while leaving outcomes in God's wise hands. Choose one long-running petition and recommit to it for the next thirty days with a simple daily line. Heaven is not bored by your repetition. The Judge who listens is better than the reluctant official in the parable—and that is precisely Jesus' point.
PrayerLord, teach me to pray always and not lose heart. I pick back up the requests I nearly abandoned; strengthen my endurance in Your presence. Amen.
