A Savior Is Born
Luke 2:11For there is born to you today, in David's city, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Today in David's city a Savior is born—Christ the Lord. Christmas Day centers on a person, not a mood. Savior names our need; Christ names God's Anointed; Lord names His rightful rule. Born "to you" keeps the event from drifting into vague inspiration. This child is for you—forgiveness, peace with God, a new humanity beginning in Bethlehem's vulnerability. Celebrate with food and gifts as signs, not substitutes. If grief shares the day, you still have a Savior who entered our night. Read the verse aloud before the noise rises. Thank God for the specific rescue you needed most this year. Worship is the fitting center of the calendar's brightest morning. Christ the Lord has come. Let gifts and gatherings serve the announcement, never replace the Savior at the center.
