Good Shepherd Near
Matthew 28:20Teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen."
The risen Jesus sends disciples to teach obedience and promises presence to the end of the age. "I am with you always" is not seasonal décor; it is a vow. Commission and companionship travel together. You may feel inadequate for the conversations faith requires—family tables can be harder than pulpits. Presence is the answer to that inadequacy. Christ does not mail instructions and leave. As you prepare for gatherings where faith might be mocked or ignored, remember the closing promise of Matthew. Obedience includes speaking gently of what He commanded and living it when words are scarce. Always reaches into awkward silences and late-night doubts. You are accompanied. Carry that promise into tense rooms where you feel outnumbered and still need to be gentle.
PrayerRisen Lord, You are with me always. Give me courage to teach and live what You commanded, knowing Your presence outlasts every awkward room. Amen.
