Cast Your Care
Isaiah 55:11So is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.
God's word leaves His mouth with a mission and does not bounce back empty. It accomplishes what He pleases and prospers in the purpose He sends. Advent is full of such sent words—promises to Abraham, oracles to prophets, an angel's announcement to Mary—each finding its target in time. If a promise feels delayed in your life, remember that void-return is not the fate of what God speaks. Scripture read in faith is not inspirational wallpaper; it is seed with a harvest schedule you may not control. Hold a particular word God has pressed on you this year. Refuse both cynical dismissal and impatient forcing. Align your obedience with what He has said, and let accomplishment belong to Him. The Child of Christmas is the ultimate proof that divine speech lands.
PrayerLord, let Your word prosper in me. Accomplish what You please in my waiting, and keep me from treating Your promises as empty slogans. Amen.
