Body Remembered
1 Peter 2:24He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.
He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed. Bore our sins in His body—substitution with scars. Die to sin and live to righteousness name the purpose. By His wounds you have been healed ties healing language to the cross. October health hope sits inside atonement reality, not apart from it. Healing is purchased; apply by faith without turning the verse into a denial of ongoing frailty. Die to sin personally—repent. Live to righteousness—obey. Wounds of Christ are the fountain. Praise Him for bearing what you could not. Press toward healing of body and of sin-habits from the same cross. He Himself did it; you receive and walk.
PrayerLord Jesus, You bore my sins in Your body—heal me by Your wounds, and help me die to sin and live to righteousness. Amen.
