Slow to Anger
Hebrews 13:1Let brotherly love continue.
Let brotherly love continue. Short charge, long obedience. Continue implies love already begun that must not stop. Brotherly love is family affection among believers—warmth, loyalty, and practical care when schedules collide. October busyness and offense freeze what should continue. Thaw it on purpose. Continue past the irritations of close community. Let signals both permission and command. Check where brotherly love stopped: unread messages, avoided eye contact, withheld help. Restart without drama. Continuity is the miracle in long friendships and long church memberships. Love that starts at a retreat must survive ordinary Tuesdays. Keep going. Small continuations—texts, prayers, shared meals—beat rare grand gestures. Brotherly love continuing is how the world glimpses the Father's family. Do not be the place where it stalls this month.
PrayerLord, let brotherly love continue among us—restart it where it has stalled, and keep it warm through ordinary days. Amen.
