Renewed Strength
Romans 8:11But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Resurrection Spirit dwells in believers and promises life to mortal bodies. Mortal admits frailty; life-giving admits hope. The same Spirit who raised Jesus indwells you—present tense. Future life to bodies includes resurrection, and tastes of renewal now. Health struggles meet a resident Power, not a distant idea. Invite the Spirit's life into fatigue and fear. Mortal bodies matter to God. September illness or aging can hear this promise. Dwells is comfort: you are not abandoned flesh. Life will win in the end, and help can arrive along the way through the indwelling Spirit.
PrayerHoly Spirit, You raised Jesus—dwell in me and give life to my mortal body according to the Father's promise. Amen.
