Tend What You Have
Luke 6:27But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.
But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you. Hearing is singled out—many tune this out. Love and do good toward enemies and haters dismantles revenge religion. September conflicts at work or online manufacture enemies quickly. Jesus addresses you who hear. Love is willful good toward the hostile. Do good is concrete—blessing, help, refusal to return evil. This does not erase justice; it erases personal vendetta. In prayer, name one enemy by name, then do one good that costs pride. Hearing without doing is still not hearing. Kingdom people love strangely. Let hate meet unexpected good this week. God loved us when we were enemies; mirror that pattern in miniature where it is hardest.
PrayerLord, I want to hear You—help me love enemies and do good to those who hate me, as You loved me first. Amen.
