God Near the Pain
Acts 3:6But Peter said, "I have no silver or gold, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!"
But Peter said, I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk! Empty pockets, full authority. Peter gives what he has: Jesus' name and power to rise. Silver and gold are refused as the main gift; walking is better. You may lack funds for someone's need and still give prayer, presence, and gospel help. In the name of Jesus refuse both helplessness and showmanship. Rise up and walk remains a holy desire for bodies and for lives stuck flat. Ask Jesus to do what money cannot. Give what you do have today. September mercy may look like advocacy, a ride, a meal, or a prayer that expects God to act. Rise still happens.
PrayerLord Jesus, where I lack silver and gold, help me give what I have in Your name—and raise what needs to walk. Amen.
