Love Is a Verb

They are no longer two, but one flesh. What God has joined together, humankind must not separate. Matthew joins oneness and the anti-separation charge. God joins; people must not undo. One flesh and joined together stack the seriousness. In a culture of easy exits, this word is shelter for covenant. Work for unity. Refuse entertainment that makes separation look brave and staying look foolish. Set your heart on help early when cracks show. Let not man separate includes your own future self tempted to quit under temporary pain. Remember God's joining on hard Tuesdays. August can host honest repair conversations. Enter them with humility. Holy joining deserves holy persistence. Where God has joined you, dig in with love, truth, and help from His people.
PrayerLord, You join—and we must not separate. Strengthen oneness and give courage to repair what we have frayed. Amen.
