The Lord Your Strength

But Jesus, turning around and seeing her, said, "Daughter, cheer up! Your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.

Matthew 9:22

Jesus turned, and seeing her He said, Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well. And instantly the woman was made well. He sees, names her daughter, tells her to take heart, and connects wellness with faith in the story's moment. Invisible suffering—years of bleeding—meets personal address. Take heart is courage spoken into long discouragement. Daughter confers belonging. Faith has made you well points to trust placed in Jesus. Instantly is the narrative's gift; your timeline may stretch, yet the same voice still says take heart. Bring long affliction into His sight. Receive your name as child. Let faith rest on Him, not on your perfect composure. Wellness in fullness awaits resurrection; foretastes come as He wills. Courage is already a kind of healing.

PrayerLord Jesus, You see and call us daughter or son—help me take heart. Let faith in You meet my long need. Amen.
