Grace Pays Attention
Proverbs 3:6In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. Acknowledgment is inclusive—work, romance, spending, speech, ambition. Partial acknowledgment keeps side paths where God is not consulted. Straight paths are not always easy paths; they are undivided ones, cleared of the crookedness of double loyalties. Bring a way you usually handle alone into open acknowledgment today: pray before the meeting, invite correction, align a purchase with love of neighbor. Straightening is God's action in response to acknowledgment; you do not wrench your life straight by sheer will. Trust Him to clear what you cannot. Provision anxiety often hides in unacknowledged corners. Name Him as Lord there, and walk the straighter line He provides. Straight paths leave less room for secret deals with fear, greed, or impressiveness.
PrayerLord, I acknowledge You in all my ways. Make my paths straight where I have preferred crooked shortcuts. Amen.
