Today Has Grace
Psalm 90:12So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90 sits in mortality's classroom, not in a finance seminar. Numbering days is not morbid accounting; it is clarity that life is short and therefore precious under God. A heart of wisdom spends attention on what matters: repentance, love, faithfulness, wonder. Foolish hearts assume endless tomorrow and waste today on contempt or distraction. Request to be taught—wisdom is learned. Number this day: what deserves your best hour? Whom should you forgive or thank? What petty feud is too expensive for a numbered life? Wisdom grows when eternity and dust are both kept in view. Live this May day as a student of limited time and unlimited mercy.
PrayerLord, teach me to number my days. Form a heart of wisdom that spends this short life on what matters to You. Amen.
