The Gift of Enough
Psalm 34:8Oh taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him. Goodness is sensory in the invitation—experience, not only theory. Refuge is the place of tasting. Provision anxiety often refuses refuge until after frantic effort fails. Reverse the order: take refuge, then act. Taste happens in worship, in answered prayer, in bread received with thanks. Blessed refuge-takers learn goodness as reality. Risk tasting by obedience that expects God's character to show. See follows taste for those who stop standing at a skeptical distance. Keep company tonight with people who reinforce holy courage. Rest as someone already held, not as someone auditioning for care. Against the urge to perform, practice unseen faithfulness for an hour. Under the actual pressures of your job, let this truth set the tone.
PrayerGood Lord, I want to taste and see Your goodness. Make refuge my blessing, not a last resort. Amen.
